Salesforce has since removed the sample exam questions from their exam guide. In this lesson, I walk through the former practice test question number 3 from the exam guide. We cover the question and possible answers and I discuss the thinking behind what is right and what is wrong.
Creating Opportunity Teams
To create opportunity teams, you must first enable Team Selling in your org:
1. From Setup, enter Opportunity Team Settings in the Quick Find box, then select Opportunity Team Settings.
2. Define the settings as needed.
3. Save your changes.
Here are some key considerations related to Opportunity Teams:
Opportunity teams are available in Lightning Experience, but you must switch to Salesforce Classic to use some related features. For more information, review Sales Features: What’s Different or Not Available in Lightning Experience - https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=lex_gaps_limitations_sales.htm&type=5&language=en_US
You can create a maximum of 50 custom fields for an opportunity team.
If you delete a custom field, filters that use the custom field are also deleted, and the result of assignment or escalation rules that rely on the custom field’s data can change.
To display opportunity team member information on a parent page, you must link the team member and the parent. For example, to display team member information on the related account detail page, add a custom lookup field called Account to the Opportunity Team editor, and then set this field to the parent account for each opportunity team member.
You may also customize Team Roles that your opportunity team members can fulfill. Every opportunity team member has a role in that opportunity, such as Account Manager or Sales Rep. To track the roles that team members play in your company, customize your opportunity team roles in Salesforce.
1. From Setup, enter Team Roles in the Quick Find box, then select Team Roles under Opportunity Teams.
2. Edit the picklist values for team roles as needed.
3. Save your changes.
4. To update a changed picklist value in all your files, enter Replace Team Roles in the Quick Find box, then select Replace Team Role.
If you wish to disable Team Selling in your org after it has been enabled, refer to this help article - https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=teamselling_disabling.htm&type=5
