In this lecture, we work through editing the Household Account Page Layout to add new Quick Actions and a Related List for Addresses.
To edit the Household Account page layout:
In Salesforce Setup, click the Object Manager tab, then click Account | Page Layouts. Edit the Household Layout and add additional Publisher Actions that are available as needed by business process requirements. Also add the Addresses related list.
We then assign the Account page layouts based on Record Type and Profile. We then create a Household account to view our changes to the page layout. We also approach creating a Household account by first creating a Contact. Since our default Account Model we are using is the Household Account Model, we can create a Contact, which in turn automatically creates a corresponding Household account for that contact.
NOTE: I didn’t point this out in the video, but you can see the Quick Actions which I added to the Household Account Page Layout around the 5-minute mark of the lecture. Look for the New Household and New Recurring Donation buttons which are displayed in the Wheeler Household Account page layout.
